Historic Fort Bragg, California, Mendocino County's largest coastal community, is the site of Living Light Culinary Arts Institute. Located on Coast Highway 1, about four hours north of San Francisco's Golden Gate Bridge, Fort Bragg faces the ocean headlands and is bordered by the Noyo River to the south and Pudding Creek to the north. Fort Bragg offers a wide variety of activities at nearby beaches, rivers, and redwood forests, where you can walk, picnic, bike, hike, kayak, surf, dive, or run.
The Living Light Center, a sparkling new 5,000 square foot state-of-the-art facility located within the historic Company Store, is designed to provide the latest advances in raw culinary education, and includes a first-rate professional kitchen with a sprouting/dehydration room, a fruit-ripening room, and a pantry. Our culinary studio is equipped with multiple cameras and closed-circuit television, and our lecture facility is outfitted with LCD projection equipment for multimedia presentations. Student teams have their own fully equipped stations for hands-on food preparation and recipe development. Our café, Living Light Cuisine To Go, offers organic raw vegan cuisine, juices, and smoothies, and our retail store, Living Light Marketplace, features healthy products for vibrant living.
