The Fourth Annual Vibrant Living Expo
The Expo was a huge success, and Living Light would like to thank everyone who worked hard to make it happen; from our volunteers, kitchen angels, and employees, to our exhibitors, rising star chefs, and attendees.
We would like to extend a special thank you to all of our presenters, chefs, and filmmakers, who gave so generously of their time and resources to be here with us sharing their ideas, expertise, and enthusiasm for creating a vibrant lifestyle, and for inspiring us with sustainable solutions for personal and planetary health.
We are especially grateful to the local presenters, holistic practitioners, and exhibitors who joined us this year. Rising Star Chef Showcase
This showcase is an opportunity for "up and coming" raw culinary artists who have a passion for teaching to "show their stuff" and get their name out to a group of raw foods enthusiasts! Please join us on Friday, August 22 from 10:00am until 2:30pm in the Living Light Culinary Studio for these fabulous culinary rising stars!
Rawsome Pie Contest - Enter Now!
Everyone is invited to compete in the Rawsome Pie Contest. All entries will be judged on flavor, creativity, color, texture, and presentation. Each contestant is responsible for bringing all the equipment and supplies necessary to create their pie. The entry fee is $25 for each pie entered.
The grand prize winner will receive a $450 scholarship to attend any Living Light Culinary Arts Institute training course at the Living Light Culinary Center in Fort Bragg, California and $100 cash. The second prize winner will receive $50 in cash plus other great prizes! The third prize winner will receive $25 in cash and other great prizes, too!

Introduction to Raw Food Nutrition
Raw Food Doctors™ Rick and Karin Dina

The Living Light Culinary Arts Institute has teamed up with Raw Food Doctors™ Rick and Karin Dina to offer “Introduction to Raw Food Nutrition,” a fun and informative 4-hour course in the science of raw food nutrition. It will be held on Monday, August 27, 2007 from 2:00pm to 6:00pm at the Living Light Center. This course will provide an abundance of scientifically based raw food education via multimedia presentations and group participation designed to help you gain a greater understanding of raw food nutrition and give you confidence in the role of raw foods for greater health and vitality. Class topics include understanding the caloric density of various foods, the effects of heat on food chemistry, raw food sources of vitamins and minerals, vitamin B-12 and raw vegan nutrition, optimal blood sugar regulation, and the role of essential fatty acids in human health.

FUNdamentals of Raw Living Foods
Tuesday, August 26, 8:00am to 6:30pm
Take Living Light’s entry-level class in a one-day intensive format. This course is the first in the Associate Chef training series and is a prerequisite for most other Living Light courses. Dozens of superb culinary presentations will show you everything you need to know to create a wide variety of delicious, easy-to-prepare raw recipes. Create fabulous organic raw vegan cuisine for optimal health and rejuvenation! Rich nut milks and creams, appetizers and pates, cultured foods, smoothies, sauces, dressings, soups and salads, simple entrees, dehydrated goodies and snacks, desserts, Learn kitchen gardening and sprouting, basic knife techniques, and equipment use. Cancellation and Refund Policy
Tickets for the Vibrant Living Expo and related workshops and seminars are nonrefundable, including Introduction to Raw Nutritional Science. You may however, transfer your tickets/registration to another person prior to the event. Please provide transfer notification to Living Light in writing, by e-mail, or fax.
